I spent years dreaming about this version of myself. Now I wake up living it. These days, my dream has changed. It’s no longer about becoming, but about helping someone else get here too.
I became the man by learning, again and again, what to release.
For years, it was a pattern. I would gain something. Learn its worth. Hold onto it. Then find I had to let it go for something greater. Each time, it cost me more than the last.
To become the man, I had to say goodbye to the boy. It wasn’t one moment. It was many. Every version of myself I outgrew, I had to release. Letting go always hurt first. Then it made room for something lighter.
To become the man, I had to say goodbye to the boy.
Letting go left me lighter than I expected. I found I could carry challenges I once couldn’t bear. Each release made space for a version of me that was steadier, more capable. The weight I thought I was losing was weight I no longer needed.
Letting go made me lighter, not less.
I know now that growth rarely feels like growth while it’s happening. Every challenge I overcome still teaches me something new. What I’m most proud of is passing that forward, helping someone else find their way through. Today, that’s the dream I’m chasing: not becoming, but guiding.
Being able to pass this gift on to others leaves a fulfillment that is beyond explanation.
