The role

As our designated storyteller on shift, you’ll welcome visitors into the MEDIUM Story Studio, guide a short conversation, take their photograph and help turn their words into a personal story they can take home.

Some stories will celebrate a milestone. Others might capture a fresh start, an important relationship or an ordinary moment worth remembering. Your job is to help people feel comfortable sharing what matters to them.

What you’ll do

• Invite visitors to participate in a relaxed, welcoming storytelling experience.
• Ask thoughtful questions and listen closely.
• Take flattering portraits using our in-store photography setup.
• Shape each participant’s words into a short, authentic story using our guided tools.
• Review the finished story with them, print it and present their keepsake.
• With permission, capture photos and short videos for MEDIUM’s website and social channels.
• Prepare captions and organize content for review and sharing.
• Keep the Story Studio organized and the experience running smoothly.

Who you are

You enjoy meeting people and can make a stranger feel at ease. You’re a good listener with a creative eye, clear writing skills and sound judgment about what someone is comfortable sharing.

Photography, interviewing, writing, hospitality or social content experience would be valuable. You don’t need to be a professional photographer. We’ll provide equipment, tools and guidance.

Above all, you understand that someone’s story belongs to them. Participation and online sharing are always their choice.

Schedule

Seasonal full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with anticipated starts from mid-October for training and launch preparation.

Shifts follow mall hours and include evenings, weekends and the holiday shopping period. You’ll be the designated storyteller during your assigned Story Studio shifts, working alongside our retail team.

• Keep displays and merchandise organized and beautifully presented.
• Help customers participate in our in-store storytelling experience.

What you bring

• An interest in watches and lifestyle accessories, with a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
• Reliability, initiative and attention to detail.
• Comfort working in a busy holiday retail environment.
• Retail, hospitality or customer service experience is an asset. Watch expertise is welcome but not required.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available, with anticipated starts from mid-October for the holiday season.

Shifts follow mall hours and include evenings, weekends and the holiday shopping period. Please provide your weekly availability, earliest start date and any planned time away when applying.
